Dan Pettersson

Dan Pettersson is currently the Group Design Leader at Traction Battery at Volvo Cars, developing the battery enclosure for new fully electrified platforms. They previously held the position of Group Design Leader at Front Body Structure, where they contributed to the XC40 hybrid and XC40 Recharge projects. Dan began their career as a Bachelor Thesis Student at Swerea SICOMP, focusing on the feasibility of material changes for satellite adapters, and later gained experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Volvo Cars. They also completed a Master Thesis at Saab, evaluating composite joint durability in aerospace applications. Dan holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Linköpings universitet.
