Marcus Schmidt is currently the Technical Leader for Adhesive Bonding Technologies at Volvo Cars, a position held since 2014. Previously, they served as an R&D Project Leader at Volvo Car Corporation from 2000 to 2004, and as a Team Leader from 2005 to 2011. Throughout their career, they have also taken on roles such as Technical Expert for Structural Adhesives and AE Leader for Body Shop Adhesives. In addition, Marcus represented Sweden for the Nordic Rheology Society from 2000 to 2020. They earned a Ph.D. in Polymer Technology from Chalmers University of Technology, where they studied from 1994 to 2000.
