Romit Godi is an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Volvo Cars, specializing in research and development within artificial intelligence and robotics. Since 2021, Romit has led efforts in developing innovative applications, such as a Large Language Model-based tool and a tele-robotic system. Romit previously held the title of Design Engineer at Volvo Cars from 2018 to 2019, where they focused on optimizing cloud infrastructure for vehicle messaging and explored various machine learning frameworks. Prior to this, Romit worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Persistent Systems from 2010 to 2014, dedicating time to mobile application development and technical writing. Currently, Romit is pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University while also working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Padre Conceicao College of Engineering.
