Tim Porter

Director at Voodle

Tim Porter is currently the Director at Voodle. Prior to Voodle, Tim was with Microsoft Corporation from 2003 to 2006 as the Director of Corporate Development. Their responsibilities included sourcing, evaluating and executing strategic acquisitions and investments for Microsoft. Tim also held the positions of Manager from 2003-2004 and Senior Manager from 2004-2006 while at Microsoft.

Before joining Microsoft, Tim worked as a Summer Associate in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Goldman Sachs in 2002. From 2000-2001 Tim was the Director of Finance for Eagle River Investments, a telecom focused private equity firm controlled by wireless pioneer Craig McCaw. During this time period they also spent time working with Teledesic. At Teledesic, they were responsible for building a global satellite network to deliver high-quality, broadband communication services. Tim started at Teledesic as a Financial Analyst and then became an Associate before being promoted to Director of Finance.

After getting their MBA from Stanford University, Tim Porter pursued a career in mechanical engineering, with a minor in economics, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
