Our mission is to advance the full life potential of medically fragile children by providing excellent holistic care in a supportive environment.  VPF's vision is to set the national standard for excellence in pediatric long-term specialized care by promoting teamwork, innovation and sensitivity in a patient and family centered environment.

In 1982 the State of NJ approached the owners of this organization and asked them to open a program for medically fragile children. Since that time, Voorhees Pediatric Facility has grown into a nationally recognized pediatric specialty care center that offers 119 in-patient beds and the largest freestanding pediatric ventilator program in the country.

VPF continues to be recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare, and in 2013 VPF received the highest accreditation awarded by The Joint Commission.

In addition, VPF has expanded to include The Bancroft School at Voorhees Pediatric Facility, an on-site private school for medically fragile/technology dependent children, Voorhees Pediatric Facility Medical Daycare, and Voorhees Pediatric Rehabilitation Services(VPRS).

The Healthcare Professionals team at Voorhees Pediatric Facility delivers comprehensive, individualized care to medically fragile children. This multidisciplinary team, including nurses, respiratory care practitioners, therapists, and specialists, collaborates to ensure each child achieves their full life potential through holistic, innovative and sensitive care. They handle a wide range of responsibilities from medical treatments and respiratory care to physical, occupational, and speech therapies, all within a supportive and family-centered environment.

Healthcare Professionals

The Healthcare and Therapy Assistants team at Voorhees Pediatric Facility supports the holistic care of medically fragile children by providing essential medical care, facilitating therapeutic recreational activities, and delivering respiratory therapy on an as-needed basis. This team works collaboratively to ensure a supportive, innovative, and sensitive patient and family-centered environment, contributing to VPF's mission and vision of advancing the full life potential of each child.
