The Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District is a non-profit company working to improve the safety, appearance, and community identity of the designated area.

In exchange for a levy contributed by local commercial property owners, the VRCID Special Ratings Area (SRA) provides 'top-up' services, delivered in addition to those of the City of Cape Town, to enhance the appearance and increase the safety of the area. They aim to improve and upgrade the public environment for the benefit of all.
