History 

Inspired by a vision to improve road safety Albert Z Morin ( founding father) inventor of the Mobile Snow Meltor, discovered mudflaps needed holes to effectively reduce side spray. Before he passed in 88, acquiring the 1st aero mudflap IP in 85, Albert had a clean slate (home advantage) to engineer this game changing tech with the most logical disruptive design that still stands today.. where form follows function, he engineered the optimal balance between maximum air flow; essential for improved spray suppression, and improved fuel economy, without compromising the intended use of the traditional mudlfap (being protection ),..Protection not only to the vehicle but those following or approaching.  As such, Albert  by default, was poised to arrive at the most logical solution to attain that essential balance. Alberts game changing design not only inherently improved vision, but also fuel economy, traction, brake & tire performance. 

How it works ...

Acting as one way valves,Vortex's airflow mudflap incorporates a series of porous (AKA louvered, vented or slotted) openings that captures otherwise unwanted recirculated water & air through the air intake & exhaust ports of the flap. This not only reduces force drag (air pressure) on the tire side, but parasitic (suction) drag that occurs on the logo side (backside) of the flap. At speed, air rushing back to fill the void creates drag. Less drag = less fuel.
