Maksym Schipka

Maksym is CTO at Vortexa and a widely recognised technology leader; with over 20 years of engineering and cybersecurity experience and a track record of reliable delivery and product innovation.

Prior to joining Vortexa, Maksym previously served as a Senior VP, Engineering at Clearswift, now part of RUAG; VP, R&D, Europe at Kaspersky Lab and Director and Senior Architect at MessageLabs, now part of Symantec. He has authored several patents on using Machine Learning to solve cyber-security problems and is regularly invited to speak on TV, radio, and to national newspapers on matters of cybersecurity.

Maksym has an M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics and B.Sc. Summa Cum Laude in Applied Physics and Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, (a State University in Moscow often compared to MIT), and a certificate in Managing Technology for Innovation from EMBA programme at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin. Maksym is the winner of various subject Olympiads including Mathematics, Physics, Computational Physics and Computer Science.
