Stuart Wheaton has worked in various software engineering roles since 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they were an IT Intern for Kalamazoo RESA, where they developed SQL code to extract fields needed for reports from a relational database. In 2012, they were a KAMSC Summer Science Program Leader, where they developed and taught programming and web design courses. From 2013 to 2014, they were an Engineering Intern for GHSP, an EECS Instructional Aide at the University of Michigan, and a Software Development Intern at Epic. In 2015, they were a Software Engineer at Voyomotive and a Forward Deployed Engineering Intern at Palantir Technologies. From 2016 to 2021, they were a Software Engineer at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer / Team Lead at Orbital Insight, and will be a Senior Software Engineer at Voxel51 starting in 2022.

Stuart Wheaton attended the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. From 2016 to 2018, they attended The Johns Hopkins University, where they earned a Master of Engineering in Computer Science. Stuart is currently enrolled in a Computer Vision Nanodegree program with Udacity, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
