Chris Kearns has held various roles throughout their career. Chris began their professional journey in 2007 as an Event Coordinator/Floor Manager at Southern Rail Restaurant & Bar. In 2011, they transitioned to teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at International House Donetsk and continued this role at The London School of English from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, Chris joined Make the Road NY as an ESOL Teacher for a brief period before moving to Mercy Center. At Mercy Center, they worked as an ESOL Instructor, then progressed to Manager of Curriculum & Workforce Development, and eventually became the Senior Manager of Adult Education & Workforce Development. In 2017, they joined Voxy as an Academic Success Manager and later took on various product management roles, including Associate Product Manager, Product Manager, and Senior Product Manager. Currently, Chris holds the position of Product Director at Voxy.
Chris Kearns earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Russian Language from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2004 to 2008. In 2011, they obtained the Cambridge CELTA certification in ESOL from the University of Cambridge. Later, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at The New School.
