The winery was established in 1924, and since then Villa Yambol has grown from strength to strength, currently possessing modern bases in the towns of Yambol and Straldzha. The total grape processing capacity is an impressive 16 million kg, while the storage capacity is over 18 million liters. The production bases and the vines are located in the stunning valley of the river Tundzha, resulting in wines which are packed full of character, history, and a piece of the natural beauty found in this part of Europe. This piece of paradise is noted for its specific microclimate, which features mild winters followed by averagely hot summers, a pre-requisite for the even ripening of the grapes, and their vinification to high quality wines and other grape distillates, allowing the Yambol winemakers to apply both classical techniques alongside the latest technologies. The company oversees over 9000 dekars of their own vines, and among the investment priorities of the company is the renewal and planting of a further 8000 dekars with young, high yielding and stunning quality vines. Villa Yambol Jsc. is currently one of the leading exporters of quality red and white wines, trading in over 40 countries around the world. The wines produced by Villa Yambol Jsc. have been awarded with numerous prizes at all the national and international competitions and tastings of which they have participated. Such accolades have come from the World exhibition in Brussels, The World exhibition in Mundus Vini, San Francisco, the International exhibition Vinaria, and many, many more.
