Thomas R. is an experienced professional with a strong background in nuclear engineering and operations consulting. Currently serving as an Operations Consultant at VPT Rad since March 2011, Thomas specializes in radiation effects and material characterization under ionizing radiation. Additionally, Thomas has been a Reactor Engineer and Adjunct Professor in the Physics Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell since June 1999, overseeing the operation of a 1 MW Research Reactor and teaching both online and in-person classes. As a Co-Founder of Orion Engineering Corporation from 1999 to July 2003, efforts were concentrated on contract engineering for innovations in energy technologies. Previously, Thomas held the position of Senior Project Engineer at Aspen Systems from March 1996 to November 1999.
