VR Archives Studio exists to immerse people in the past, allowing history to be understood through experience rather than abstraction. Using virtual reality, the studio carefully reconstructs places and moments from history so heritage can be explored with clarity, depth, and context. This work is guided by a responsibility to treat history with care, accuracy, and respect.

The studio operates entirely in-house, bringing together historical research, visual reconstruction, and production under one roof. This structure allows close collaboration with historians, subject experts, artists, and technologists, while using modern tools and methodologies to validate research and ensure fidelity in every experience.

To date, VR Archives Studio has completed two full VR productions centred on UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One visualises the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, offering insight into the social, architectural, and cultural sophistication of a 5th-century civilisation. The other explores Galle Fort, tracing the layered history of a living heritage site shaped by trade, conflict, and colonial presence across centuries. The long-term vision is to build a growing library of immersive historical experiences that remain accessible, meaningful, and relevant for generations to come.
