Tomas Coppens

Tomas Coppens is a Senior Researcher at VRT, where they focus on public value, trust and impact, diversity in media, and audience developments. They have been involved in research and strategy advising since 2010. Previously, Tomas held a postdoctoral researcher position at Universiteit Gent, contributing to a project on public service broadcasting in Flanders. They were also a founding partner of Comunidad Cervecera Andaluz and worked as a news correspondent for Belga News Agency. Tomas holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Communication and Media Studies from Universiteit Gent.
