Fara Tapscott

Fara Tapscott has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Fara began their career in 1998 as an Enterprise Systems Engineer at Legg Mason, a position they held until 2001. In 2002, they joined Infopro as a Network Analyst, where they provided security auditing, project management, and support for Windows NT 2000/IIS5 webservers until 2004. Fara then moved on to the American Institutes for Research, starting as a Sr. Web Application Administrator in 2004 and progressing to roles such as Senior System Engineer and Lead System Engineer. During their time at AIR, Fara's responsibilities included system administration, SQL administration, application development, and researching software and hardware solutions for system performance, scalability, management, and security challenges.

In 2019, Fara joined VRTL Space as a Senior Devops Engineer, where they worked until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Consultant at VRTL Space, utilizing their expertise in consultancy and technology solutions.

Fara Tapscott has a strong education background in the field of technology. Fara began their education in 1988 at Tomball High School, where they obtained their Diploma with a focus on General studies in 1992. Fara then pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland from 1992 to 1995.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Fara continued their education at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2006 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. This degree specialized in the study and application of computer programming, software development, and other related fields.

In addition to their formal education, Fara has obtained additional certifications in the field of technology. In July 2019, they received the AWS Technical Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), showcasing their expertise in utilizing AWS technology. Fara also earned the Solutions Architect - Associate certification from AWS during the same period, further validating their skills in designing and implementing solutions using AWS services.
