Wayne Montague has extensive experience in software and hardware engineering. Wayne started their career at Cisco in 1996, where they worked as a Test Engineer in both the Engineering and Manufacturing departments. During this time, they provided prototype support and debugged boards that failed during manufacturing. Wayne also led a Defect Reduction Team and tracked inventory. In 2001, Wayne became a Hardware Engineer at Cisco, leading a cross-functional team in designing and implementing Ethernet switching line cards. Wayne worked closely with various teams to ensure design requirements were met. In 2013, they transitioned to software engineering roles, working as a Software Engineer at Hack Reactor and later as a Web UI Engineer at Index Inc. In 2016, Wayne joined Metromile as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on frontend development. Wayne then moved to VSCO in 2018, where they currently hold the position of Senior Software Engineer, specializing in web development.
Wayne Montague has a diverse education history. Wayne attended the Devry Institute of Technology (Pomona) from 1991 to 1994, where they earned a degree in Engineering. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Computer Engineering at Santa Clara University from 2000 to 2004. More recently, in 2013 and 2014, Wayne attended Hack Reactor, where they focused on Software Engineering & Full-Stack Web Development.
