Amina Abdirashid

Amina Abdirashid is a Regional Media and Communications Manager for Africa at VSO International, with over 15 years of experience in communications and media specializing in the international development and humanitarian sectors. Amina has a proven track record of leading communications strategies at organizations such as WWF and BBC Media Action, enhancing brand visibility and media engagement across the continent. Amina’s work includes developing impactful narratives and media training, and producing critical programs aimed at social change, particularly in fragile contexts. Amina holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Political Science from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
