Internship

Erick Mbeva is the founder of the Green Culture Community Initiative (GCCIAFRICA), an organization established in March 2017 focused on promoting a circular economy in solid waste management through climate change adaptation initiatives. This initiative aims to create employment opportunities for unemployed youth and teen mothers while addressing issues such as teen marriage, HIV/AIDS prevalence, and school dropouts. In addition to the GCCIAFRICA role, Erick has served as a Families Matter! facilitator at the University of Nairobi's College of Health Sciences MARPs Project since August 2014, training parents on effective communication regarding sexual health and rights for children aged 9-12. Previous experience includes an internship with VSO on solid waste management projects and a position as an assistant project officer at an NGO, where responsibilities included financial reporting and project proposal writing. Erick holds a diploma in community development and social work from the Kenya Institute of Social Sciences.
