Susan Waruingi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in youth development and entrepreneurship, currently serving as a W2W Youth Business Advisor at VSO since June 2016. Waruingi's work focuses on empowering young people in the waste sector to create jobs through green startups, enhancing strategies for early-stage business development. As the Deputy Executive Director of Youth for Sustainable Development (YSD), Susan initiates partnerships to engage youth in decision-making processes. Waruingi’s previous roles include project management for TAP Africa, where an award-winning campaign against gender violence was developed, and participation in the Mandela Washington Fellowship, which provided leadership training in the United States. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Economics from the University of Nairobi and further training at Indiana University Bloomington and KIM Kenya Institute of Management.
