Richard Platt has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Richard is currently the Chief Executive Officer of vSpatial, a company that specializes in immersive remote software and cloud services. Prior to this role, they served as the President/CEO of myRead.com, a non-profit publisher of free digital multimedia with a focus on children's books. Richard also held the position of CTO & VP of Engineering at NetSocket from 2012 to 2014. Before that, they worked at Cisco for several years, serving as the VP/GM for Enterprise Voice and later for small business products. Richard's early career includes being the Founder CTO of Selsius Systems, a company that was acquired by Cisco in 1998 and known for inventing the first IP/Ethernet phone.

Richard Platt attended Brigham Young University from 1977 to 1980, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. Richard then continued their education at both Brigham Young University and Arizona State University from 1980 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from both institutions.
