Thiago Athayde

Thiago Athayde is the current Director of Global Risk, Controls & Compliance at VTEX. Prior to this, they served as the Risk, Controls and Compliance Senior Manager at OLX Brasil and Head of Internal Audit and Compliance at Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás S.A.

Athayde has over 6 years of experience in implementing corporate governance structures and strategic risk management. Thiago is an expert in Brazilian regulatory compliance (AML, PEP, Payments), LGPD and has successfully implemented compliance programs at both OLX Brasil and Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás S.A. In addition to their work in risk and compliance, Athayde has also overseen internal audit teams and investigations of corporate fraud and misconduct.

Thiago Athayde has an Executive MBA from COPPEAD UFRJ, a degree in Administration (Bussines) from Universidade Candido Mendes, and a Local Content certificate from NNpetro. Thiago also has a Course Basics of Petroleum Engineering, Oil and Gas certificate from IBP - Instituto Brasileiro de Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis.

Their manager is André Spolidoro, CFO. Thiago Athayde works with and Diogo Carneiro Santiago - Head of FP&A & Global Treasury.
