Simon O'Brien

Simon O'Brien has worked in the art and design industry since 1994. Simon began their career as a Reprographics Technician at Tang Repro, then moved on to become a Graphic Designer at Redmond Keane in 1997. In 2001, they joined Evolution Studios as a 3D Artist, then was promoted to Lead Technical Artist, Senior Artist and Creative Lead. In 2008, they became an Art Director at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. In 2011, they took on the role of Associate Lecturer at Bournemouth University. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Director at Pixeluma Ltd. and then Art Director at Starship from 2015 to 2016. Finally, they were the Art Director at vTime from 2016 to present. During their roles, they have utilized a variety of art tools and techniques, such as Maya, Modo, ZBrush, Substance and Unity, and has been responsible for concept development, video editing and motion graphics, CG rendering and game asset production.

Simon O'Brien's education history includes a Master of Arts in Digital Games from Liverpool John Moores University (2000-2001), a Higher National Diploma in Typography from Staffordshire University (1992-1994), and a National Diploma in Graphic Design from Bolton College (1990-1992).
