Megan Hessenius

Megan Hessenius has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Megan currently works as a Sales Executive at VTrips since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Intracoastal Realty as a Closing Coordinator from September 2020 to October 2022.

Before their real estate roles, Megan worked at Carolina Retreats from October 2017 to September 2020. During this time, they held multiple positions, including Assistant Property Manager and NC Provisional Real Estate Broker. Megan was responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing property reservations, maintaining property appearance and functionality, and ensuring compliance with real estate guidelines.

Megan has also worked in management and marketing roles. Megan served as a Manager at Lyon in the Dust from January 2009 to September 2018, where they excelled in customer service and staff management. Additionally, they worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Southport Boat Works from January 2004 to May 2008.

In their earlier career, Megan gained experience in sales and marketing coordination. Megan was a Sales & Marketing Coordinator at Rampage Yachts from February 2001 to May 2002. Prior to that, they worked as an Office & Marketing Manager at MarineMax from April 1998 to May 2002. Megan also served as a Marine Sales Coordinator at Gregory Poole Power Systems from August 1997 to April 1998.

Before entering the real estate and marketing fields, Megan started their career as an AFSS (Assisted Agency Field Supervisor/Agency Field Consultant) at State Farm from May 2002 to August 2003.

In their previous role as a Floral Designer/Assistant Manager at Flowers by Jan from January 2003 to October 2008, Megan showcased their design skills and demonstrated their ability to manage a successful business, achieving a 400% increase in business within three years.

Megan Hessenius completed a Broker Pre-Licensing Course at JY Monk Real Estate School in 2020. In 2013, they earned a Certificate in Medical Insurance Coding Specialist/Coder from Cape Fear Community College. Megan attended East Pennsboro Area High School from 1984 to 1988, focusing on College Prep. Megan also obtained additional certifications including a Realtor certification from Cape Fear REALTORS® in January 2023 and a North Carolina Real Estate License from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission in June 2022.
