Ryan Sweeney has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ryan started their career in 1997 with Global Village Television, where they were involved in software development, website design, and technical support. From 1998 to 2002, Ryan worked as a Software Developer and Data Analyst for JP Morgan Chase, gaining experience in various financial systems. Ryan then joined Telstra as a Software Developer before moving to ANZ Bank as a Project Manager/Business Analyst, focusing on regulatory compliance. In 2003, Ryan became the Applications Manager at Middletons Lawyers, where they were responsible for software development and support. Ryan later joined Lonely Planet Publications as an Application Support and Release Manager, primarily working on web development. Ryan then worked at White Labelled as a Technical Lead and later as a DevOps Manager, overseeing the automation and configuration management of ecommerce projects. Ryan continued their DevOps career at UXC Oxygen, providing services to ERP clients. Most recently, in 2020, Ryan became the Chief Technology Officer at Vudoo. Throughout their career, Ryan has gained experience in a wide range of technologies and has demonstrated leadership in managing teams and delivering successful projects.

Ryan Sweeney's education history begins with their enrollment at Pietermaritzburg College from 1984 to 1989, where they obtained a Higher Grade Matriculation. Ryan then went on to pursue a MSc.Eng (Mech) Hon in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, graduating between 1989 and 1993.
