Lorne Thomas

Lorne Thomas is currently the Director at VuEssence. Prior to this, they were the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Rocky Vista University from March 2010 to March 2015. Lorne has also held the position of Director at Aleutian Consulting from February 2008 to March 2010, where they were responsible for developing the 5-yr long range plan and divestiture modeling for a large publicly traded telecommunication company. Lorne has also worked as the Manager of Capital Markets at HomeAmerican Mortgage Corp (MDC Holdings) from November 2005 to January 2008, where they were responsible for managing interest rate hedging activities for fixed and ARM residential loan origination pipelines, contract review of loan sales purchase agreements, development and execution of bulk loan sales, daily reporting of risk position and loans on the warehouse funding line, and monthly loan sales reconciliation with investor purchase advices and reporting and variance analysis for finance monthly close.

Lorne Thomas has a MBA in finance from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business, a MS in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a BA in physics from the University of Colorado Denver. Lorne is also certified from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
