VulaLearn is a South African academic management platform building the operating system for high school success.

We guide Grades 8–12 NSC learners through their academic journey: from school performance to university access and future career pathways.

Most study platforms function as content libraries, providing notes and past papers while expecting learners to manage planning themselves. VulaLearn takes the opposite approach.

We transform studying from a self-managed activity into a structured, guided system. Our goal is to become the place where learners know exactly what to do each day academically.

Learners input their marks, APS targets, exam dates, study availability, and personal commitments. Using this information, VulaLearn builds a personalised study calendar aligned with the CAPS curriculum and NSC exam weighting, showing precisely what to focus on each day.

As learners complete work, the platform tracks performance at topic level and continuously adapts their plan. The integrated tutor supports learners within this system — identifying weaknesses, prioritising improvement areas, and helping students stay on track. Content such as past exam papers serves as supporting infrastructure within the learning workflow rather than the core product.

Daily study tasks are delivered through WhatsApp, allowing learners to complete, reschedule, or add sessions directly in chat, with updates syncing automatically to their study plan.

VulaLearn was built by university students who experienced the South African school system firsthand and developed alongside teachers and learners in real classrooms, including LEAP Science & Maths School and VUSA Academy. VulaLearn v1 reached tens of thousands of learners across all nine provinces. VulaLearn v2 expands this guided system through school and provincial partnerships.
