Steven Smith

Steven Smith has extensive experience in compensation and benefits management. Steven is currently the VP of Compensation and Benefits at Vulcan Materials Company, where they are responsible for developing and executing compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain talent. Prior to this, Steven served as the SVP and Director of Total Rewards at Hancock Whitney, where they led activities related to compensation, benefits, and executive programs. Steven also worked as the Director of Compensation at RentPath, LLC, overseeing compensation policies and practices. Earlier in their career, Steven held senior compensation consultant roles at Suntrust Bank and Regions Financial Corporation, providing consulting services in executive rewards and base pay. Steven began their career as a Senior Compensation Analyst at HealthSouth, where they managed the organization's compensation program. Steven Smith received a BS degree in Business Management from The University of Alabama from 1995 to 1999. Steven later pursued an MBA in Business Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1999 to 2002.
