Senior Software Engineer at Vulcan

Scott Thomas has a diverse work experience in the field of audio, video, and data systems engineering. Scott most recently worked at Vulcan LLC as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were involved in building software tools to understand and control data flow through a network of media systems, as well as designing and implementing video encoding, monitoring, and distribution systems. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Engineering at Victory Studios, leading a team in the design, installation, and support of audio, video, voice, and data systems. Scott also has experience as a Video Engineer at American Production Services, maintaining audio/video hardware and software, and as a Production Engineer at KBYU-TV / Blue & White Sports Network, setting up and operating audio, video, and voice systems for various television events.

Scott Thomas attended Brigham Young University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. Scott also holds additional certifications, including a Crestron Certified Programmer from Crestron Electronics, which they obtained in January 2022, and a Dante Certification Level 3 from Audinate, obtained in May 2020.
