Mark Kramer

Mr Kramer completed his medical studies in Leiden cum laude. In Curaçao and Leiden he specialized as an internist-haematologist. In 1994 he moved to Amersfoort, where he worked for fourteen years at the Meander Medical Center. He was also at the helm of his professional group: the Dutch internists' association. In 2007 Kramer became professor and head of department of Internal Medicine at VUmc and three years later also chairman of division I. In September 2016 he succeeded Hans Brug as a member of the board of VUmc. Like his colleague Romijn, Kramer plays the violin and is regarded as an avid music lover. He also has a warm heart for contemporary art.
