Jonathan S.

Jonathan S. has over 20 years of work experience. Jonathan began their career in 2000 at Sasol as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist (or Chemist). During their time at Sasol, Jonathan coordinated the development, validation and implementation of various analytical methods, performed troubleshooting analyses for ad hoc problems in various plant processes, and assisted in plant start-ups by developing sampling schedules and implementing them as well as conducting special, on-request analyses. In 2008, Jonathan moved to the University of Texas at Arlington as a Graduate Research Student. In 2014, they began working at Azyp, LLC as a Principal Investigator and at VUV Analytics, Inc. as a Senior Field Applications Scientist and Application Scientist.

Jonathan S. began their educational journey in 1991 when they attended Pinelands High School. Jonathan then went on to the University of Cape Town, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Bsc. Hons. in Chemistry and Physics [Chemistry] between 1996 and 1999. In 2006, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Analytical Chemistry from Stellenbosch University and finally, in 2013, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Texas at Arlington.
