Eric Black

Eric Black has a diverse background in legal and corporate counsel roles. Eric currently serves as the General Counsel at Vuzix Corporation since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at EagleView as the Deputy General Counsel from October 2019 to March 2022, where they led a team and played a significant role in restructuring the legal department. Eric also served as the Associate General Counsel at EagleView from September 2018 to October 2019. From 2013 to 2017, they held the position of VP & Assistant General Counsel at EarthLink, where they provided legal support across various departments and served as the HIPAA Privacy Officer. Before that, Eric was the Senior Corporate Counsel at PAETEC from 2004 to 2012, where they advised senior management, handled customer disputes, and negotiated complex contracts. Eric also worked as the Senior Corporate Counsel at Global Crossing North America from 2000 to 2003, managing contract negotiations and providing legal counsel. Eric began their career as a Senior Associate at Nixon Peabody from 1996 to 2000, where they dealt with various business and corporate matters.

Eric Black has a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the University of Virginia School of Law. Eric also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from the University of Rochester.
