Matthew Batema

Matthew Batema is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in developing scalable IoT platforms and cloud-based systems. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Vynca since June 2024, Matthew previously held the role of Senior Backend Engineer at Apixio and Principal Software Engineer at Verizon, where significant contributions included the acquisition of Sensity Systems and building a highly scalable IoT infrastructure. Matthew began their career at Cenzic and has also worked in various engineering and information systems roles, contributing to website redesigns and server management. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis.
