Erick Herring

Erick Herring has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Erick is currently working as a Faculty member at the Georgia Institute of Technology since September 2021. Prior to that, Erick was the CTO and Managing Partner at Vector Logic from October 2014 to May 2016, and they played a significant role in launching Vynyl in 2016 after a merger. Erick also served as the Chief Technology & Marketing Officer at Privlo from August 2013 to October 2014 and as the SVP of Technology at Local Corporation from January 2012 to August 2013. Erick has also held the positions of Founder & CTO at Townloop from November 2010 to December 2011 and CTO & VP of Product Development at Feedback.com from July 2009 to October 2010. Erick has extensive experience in executive roles, including Chief Technology Officer & VP of Product at WebVisible, Inc. from April 2009 to May 2009 and VP of Engineering & Operations from November 2008 to March 2009, where they were responsible for integrating Adapt Technologies. Erick has also served as a Consultant to the COO at Local Corporation from October 2011 to December 2011. Erick has been actively involved in the technology community and has served as an Advisor for the LA CTO Forum since 2000 and as a Board Member at Innovate Pasadena since April 2019. Erick's work experience reflects their expertise in technology leadership and business development.

Erick Herring holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to this, they attended Aalborg University from 1992 to 1995 and pursued studies in Computer Science as well. In addition to their education, they obtained the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from (ISC)2 in January 2007.
