Bernard Chan has worked in the technology industry for over 15 years. Bernard began their career in 2004 as an Analyst Programmer at EDI Systems Services Limited, where they served as the project coordinator for the integration of two freight forwarding systems onto a single platform and was the principal architect of the underlying application framework. In 2006, they joined Mobile Clusters Limited as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the software architecture of the corporate VoIP voice infrastructure and the establishment of a flexible infrastructure based on the Spring application framework. In 2009, they joined Vyond (previously GoAnimate) as the Information Security Manager. Vyond was among the winners of the HKICT awards in 2012 and 2017, and was awarded the Best Collaboration Grand Award in 2012.
Bernard Chan attended Raimondi College, Hong Kong from 1993 to 2000. Bernard then went on to The University of Hong Kong where they obtained a BEng in Computer Engineering from 2000 to 2003. In 2015, they obtained a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)². In 2018, they obtained an ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Finally, in 2019, they obtained an ITIL® Intermediate Certificate in IT Service Transition from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
