Kees Van Wingerden holds a PhD in Engineering Physics from the University of Bergen and an MSc in Physics from Delft University of Technology. With 43 years of experience in gas and dust explosion safety, Kees has worked in various roles including Chief Technology Officer at GexCon AS and Vice President of Industrial Risk at Vysus Group. Kees has been instrumental in R&D, consultancy, and accident investigations, and is currently involved in standardization efforts as convenor of WG3 of CEN/TC305. Kees has also received the EPSC Award for contributions to industrial safety from the European Process Safety Centre.
