Vicki Messick

Director, Business Operations at Vyv

Vicki Messick has over 25 years of work experience. Vicki began their career in 1995 as a Coordinator in the Board of Trustees Office at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In this role, they assisted the Secretary of the Institute and the President in the operations of the Board of Trustees Office, coordinating travel and activities for board members, spouses, and President’s Cabinet, as well as organizing and maintaining a database management system incorporating policies, procedures, and board data. In 2008, they moved to Albany Medical Center Foundation as Vice President of Development and Communications Operations, where they directed and led a 16-person foundation team through two very successful capital campaigns. This included building and executing a campaign plan, developing tools for gift officers to solicit, cultivate, and steward donors, analyzing regional deployment of alumni and community members, managing high-level solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship events, and designing and implementing a donor stewardship and recognition program. In 2020, they joined Vyv (previously Vital Vio) as Business Administrator.

Vicki Messick obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business, Management and Economics from the State University of New York - System between 2002 and 2006. In August 2020, they obtained two certifications from LinkedIn: Discovering Your Strengths and Learning Personal Branding.
