John Curtin

John Curtin is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in systems engineering and product development in the transportation sector. Currently serving as the Engineering Technical Leader - System Engineer at Wabtec Corporation since May 2022, John previously held the position of Lead Surface Mining Systems Engineer at GE Transportation, focusing on drive systems for mining haul trucks. John participated in the Edison Engineering Development Program at GE Transportation, which provided varied engineering experiences. Earlier roles at General Electric included significant contributions as a Locomotive Cooling System Engineer and a Global Sourcing Specialist, where leadership in projects enhanced system reliability and optimized supplier relationships. John holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Penn State Erie, the Behrend College.
