WACREN (West and Central African Research and Education Network) is a not‑for‑profit organisation that designs, builds, and operates digital infrastructure for research and education across West and Central Africa.

We interconnect national research and education networks (NRENs) to form a resilient regional backbone, linked to continental and global research networks. Through this infrastructure, platforms, and services, WACREN enables collaboration, data exchange, and innovation between universities, research institutions, and their peers worldwide.
