Rob Millar

Rob Millar is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Head of Engineering for Battery, Electrical & Software and Head of Electrical at Fortescue since June 2016, overseeing teams focused on electrical systems design, product safety, and battery design. In addition to the role at Fortescue, Rob is an Expert Panel Member at The Faraday Institution, providing industry insights and advice, and has served on the Energy Strategic Advisory Committee for EPSRC, influencing UK energy research priorities. Previous roles include leadership positions in business development and management at companies such as Vayon Group, R&D Vehicle Components Ltd, IN RDVS, and RDVS, as well as engineering positions at Ricardo, TWR, and AB Automotive Electronics. Rob Millar holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Robert Gordon University.
