Tim Engstrom

Tim Engstrom is an experienced professional in the field of battery technology, currently serving as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer at Elysia Battery Intelligence, a subsidiary of Fortescue since April 2023. Engstrom leads the technology stack across embedded and cloud applications while previously managing advanced battery technologies and overseeing BMS performance algorithms at Williams Advanced Engineering. Prior roles include Technical Lead for MHEV battery systems at Jaguar Land Rover, where Engstrom received recognition for innovation in battery warranty methodology, and a researcher at Imperial College London, focusing on hybrid energy storage systems. Engstrom holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London and has a background from the University of Melbourne and The King’s School, Worcester.
