Tim Strafford

Tim Strafford has extensive experience in the motorsport and automotive industries, currently serving as the Managing Director of Motorsport and Chief Innovation Officer at Fortescue Zero since January 2024. Prior to this role, Tim was an Independent Consultant in Engineering Strategy at Agratas and spent over four years as Chief Executive Officer at Envisage Group Limited. Tim's career at McLaren spanned nearly 15 years in various leadership roles including Automotive Director and Business Development Manager, where responsibilities included the development of advanced control systems for motorsport and automotive applications. Tim engineered critical control strategies for Formula One vehicles and contributed to the creation of a flagship ECU. Educational qualifications include a degree in Automotive Engineering from Loughborough University and completion of the McLaren Leadership Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School.
