Maher Aoun

Maher Aoun is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sales and business development across various financial and technology sectors. Currently serving as the VP of Sales and Business Development at Wafeq since 2023, Maher has held similar roles at Stripe, FIS, and Calypso Technology from 2014 to 2023. Aoun co-founded Aura Avenue in 2013 and worked as a Portfolio Manager/Trader at Olayan Investments prior to that. Maher has a solid background in fixed income portfolio management from Mellon Capital Management, as well as a foundational role as Solutions Manager/Market Specialist at Calypso Technology from 2005 to 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
