Nestled between the settlement of Reporoa and the shores of Lake Taupo, its 25,000ha footprint is unique in both its scale and substance. Wairakei Estate collaborates with a range of partners across various initiatives, with a shared vision of enhancing long-term prosperity and health of the land we work upon. The variety of partnerships mirrors the diversity of the land, with a mixture of beef, sheep, dairy, forestry, cropping, geothermal and conservation.

Home to natural resources of significant scale, Wairakei Estate partners with its tenants in pastoral farming, livestock grazing, lucerne cropping, and forestry. With an emphasis on environmental stewardship, the Estate is committed to leading sustainable land use and conservation through the restoration of wetlands and riparian areas.
