John Stephenson

John Stephenson is an experienced audit professional with over 25 years in the field. Since 2007, John has served as the Internal Audit Director for Wake County, demonstrating expertise in internal controls and financial management. Prior to this role, John worked at the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor from 1995 to 2006 as an Assistant State Auditor, further honing skills in auditing practices. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University, earned between 1987 and 1992.
