Mark Perlman

Mark Perlman is an experienced professional in equitable housing and community development, currently serving as Division Director for Wake County since May 2022. Mark has led teams in various capacities, including Housing Programs Administrator for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, where responsibilities encompassed managing affordable housing lending programs and budgeting for a significant housing bond. Previous roles include Lending Programs Manager at Wake County, Real Estate Analyst at Novogradac & Company LLP, and Research and Policy Associate at the National Community Land Trust Network. Mark began a career as a Bank Examiner with the Federal Housing Finance Agency and has a background as a Program Associate with Meridian International Center and a Community Based Organization Adviser with the Peace Corps. Mark holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland, focusing on Social Policy, Housing and Community Development, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from The Ohio State University.
