Taylor Shaw

Taylor Shaw is an experienced professional in content strategy and digital media, currently serving as the Intranet Content Strategist for Wake County since May 2023. Previously, Taylor held the position of Assistant Professor of Mass Communication at Shaw University while also instructing at William Peace University. Key roles include serving as Social Media Director at the University of Virginia, where strategic social media initiatives were developed, and as Social Media Community Manager at Blue Cross NC, focusing on community engagement. Additional experience encompasses audience growth strategies at The News & Observer Publishing Company and digital production roles at KSHB/KMCI and Nexstar Media Group. Taylor was also a participant in the Poynter Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media and a recipient of the ONA15 CNN Diversity Fellowship.
