Eric Liggins is a Principal Scientist in the Electro-Optic Materials and Vision Science Group at QinetiQ Ltd, where they have worked since 2012. They previously served as a Principal Scientist and Technical Leader at QinetiQ and held significant roles in various international standards organizations, including Convenor of the ISO/IEC Joint Working Group on Personal Laser Eye Protection and Committee Chair for the BSI's Optical Radiation and Laser Safety committee. Eric has a PhD in Vision Science and an MSc in Instrumentation and Analytical Science from the University of Manchester and UMIST, respectively, as well as a BSc Hons in Physics from the University of Warwick. They have been an active committee member with the IEC/TC 76 on Optical Radiation and Laser Safety since 1999.
