Michael Southall

Michael Southall, ERT, is a Senior Director and Head of Global Toxicology and Clinical Safety at Kenvue, where they lead the global toxicology department and ensure product safety compliance. With over 20 years of experience, Michael has held various roles in preclinical and clinical research, contributing to the development of consumer products, medical devices, and dermatological drug candidates. They previously served as a Research Director at Johnson & Johnson, overseeing innovation in skin biology and pharmacology. Michael also participates in the International Collaboration on Cosmetics Safety as Board Treasurer, focusing on animal-free safety science. Educated at UC San Diego, George Mason University, and Indiana University School of Medicine, Michael holds degrees in microbiology and pharmacology.
