Ryan Ko

Professor Ryan Ko is a Chair Professor and the founding Centre Director of the UQ Cyber Research Centre at The University of Queensland, where they lead interdisciplinary research initiatives with over 70 researchers across multiple faculties. They have held prominent roles, including serving on UQ's Academic Board and as Director of Research in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Renowned for their expertise in cyber security, they have advised various government agencies internationally and were instrumental in founding the New Zealand Institute for Security and Crime Science. Professor Ko also co-founded the Cloud Security Alliance's Cloud Data Governance Working Group and continues to be an influential figure in the fields of cyber security and cloud computing, contributing to international standards and leading significant research projects.
