Troy Winters

Troy Winters is a Certified Registered Safety Professional currently serving as the Senior Officer, Health and Safety for the Canadian Union of Public Employees. They assist local unions with health and safety issues and contribute to national policy development from the National office in Ottawa. Troy also holds leadership roles in various national committees, including the Chair of the Canadian Standards Association Strategic Steering Committee for Health and Safety. Previously, they worked for 10 years as a researcher and 5 years as a Sessional Professor at Dalhousie University, focusing on areas such as industrial ergonomics and biomechanics. They continue to enhance their expertise through various certifications, including a Certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor.
